Family Fridays #2

Family Fridays number 2

We went for our statutory morning walk. Daddy had taken the pram to work so I had to use a carrier with Baby E. Thank goodness he’s a skinny 10 month old! Unfortunately I didn’t take any usable pictures on our walk which is so unlike me.

While he was having his morning nap, I quickly whipped up two July graphics for the churchs’ social media account. I didn’t really have a “July” inspiration so I went down the random route.

I also had to finish crocheting the mum-to-be’s present which I started in January but ignored until last month! I had to admit that there was very little chance of getting it done in time so here’s where I stopped for the day. Ignore the misshapenness as that will literally be ironed out.

Postie arrived with good news for once.  The jury summons had come as a shock and it was eerily scheduled for the day after Baby E’s first birthday. Well, I sent in my excuses and prayed that they’d be considered valid enough. I opened each post from then with bated breath until it arrived. I had been excused from jury service! On this occasion at least!

Before I knew it, it was after work and Baby E was excited to see Daddy and the cat from next door.

In the evening, Daddy got assigned a seemingly straightforward crafty task for the baby shower which I soon regretted as I had to do lots of remedial work. They didn’t turn out too badly, I hope.

Having said that, he was awesome with the nappy cake. Sadly, I didn’t get a good picture of it before the event. It was on its way to the car in 3 pieces at the end of the baby shower before I cried out for a photo.  The below was taken after a quick reassembly in the hallway!

The rest of the night was all about getting things ready for the shower. I’ll write about that soon. Hopefully.
