Meal Plan, Shopping List and a Lunch Date – Week 3

A few tweaks were required to last week’s meal plan as the little one fell ill. He coped well with dishes of a smooth consistency so he had quite a bit of soup and dishes involving mash potatoes. He is on the mend now so hopefully his appetite and ability to chew will return soon.

Monday

Lunch: Soup with crusty bread
Dinner: Creamy seafood pasta
Snacks: Tuna sandwich, veggie sticks, fruit, yoghurt

Tuesday

Lunch: Chilli with rice
Dinner: Couscous with beef stew/casserole
Snacks: Veggie sticks, fruit, banana bread, cheese

Wednesday

Lunch: Toddler @ grandparents; Lunch date (adults)
Dinner: Chilli
Snacks: Grandparents providing for toddler; fruit and veg for adults

Thursday

Lunch: Spaghetti bolognese
Dinner: A freezer meal
Snacks: Breadsticks with hummus, sausages, fruit, veggies, raisins

Friday

Lunch: Beef burger
Dinner: Chilli(toddler); Date night meal (adults – could be takeaway)
Snacks: Fruit, sweet potato biscuits, yoghurt, veggies

Saturday

Lunch: Brunch (something haggis-related)
Dinner: *At grandparents*
Snacks: Available options

Sunday

Lunch: Quiche and salad
Dinner: Panfried fish and beetroot salad
Snacks: Available options

The Growing Dad and I are meeting for lunch this week at the Wildwood Restaurant as I picked up a voucher during our work’s Christmas meal. I am really looking forward to it as we may not have that many lunch dates when I start maternity leave.
